Transpelmo Rules & Regulation 2024

1. Conditions of participation
1.1. Registration for the race is a voluntary act that each competitor must perform responsibly.
1.2. The organization assumes no responsibility for any damage to participants and third parties, either before, during, or after the event in question.
1.3. The organization appeals to the responsibility of each individual participant in adopting a behavior that reduces the risk of damage to their own and others.
1.4. Each competitor declares to be aware of the difficulties of the race track, and therefore is required to check for himself his level of preparation to guarantee his own safety.
1.5. The competitor declares to be informed about the characteristics, the progress of the event, and the difficulties of the race course.
1.6. Each competitor must present himself at the start and carry out the entire race with a regular bib number which must be worn in a visible way under penalty of exclusion at the start and / or disqualification from the race.
1.7. There is no mandatory material, but each competitor must use clothing and footwear suitable for sports in the high mountains and the weather conditions that may arise during the race.
1.8. It is absolutely forbidden for competitors to throw any waste on the ground. Each competitor must only use the bags or waste baskets prepared at the refreshment points to throw any type of waste. Any infringement results in disqualification from the race.

2. Minimum age
2.1. All people of both sexes who have reached the age of 18 can participate in the race; when the race bib is collected, the organization will strictly check this requirement, which if it is not respected will lead to exclusion from the race and to the loss of the registration fee paid.

3. Medical certificate
3.1. The Transpelmo takes place on a race course with characteristics such as to entail a high physical effort on the part of the competitors, and THE ORGANIZATION REQUESTS THE PARTICIPANTS A COPY OF THE MEDICAL CERTIFICATE of practicality for the competitive athletic practice, or equivalent, to guarantee its own safety.

4. Insurance of participants
4.1. Although there is no regulatory obligation for competitors or for the organization to take out insurance coverage for participants. The organization invites each participant to take out insurance coverage on their own account for damage caused to their persons and / or third parties during the event.

5. Insurance coverage of the event
5.1. The organization has activated insurance coverage for the event.

6. Delivery of bib numbers and prizes
6.1. The bib and the race packet will be delivered strictly only to the participants who are duly registered according to the regulation in force and who will personally present themselves at the distribution points equipped with a valid identity document. In the absence of one or more of the aforementioned requirements, neither the bib nor the race packet will be delivered, nor will the registration fee paid be returned, and the person will be considered extraneous to the event.

6.2 The prizes will be delivered exclusively and strictly only with the presence of the athlete at the awards ceremony.

7. Running of the race, changes to the course. Race cancellation
7.1. The race will take place in all weather conditions.
7.2. In the event of adverse conditions, the start may be postponed and / or the route may be subject to changes or be replaced with an alternative route at any time by the organization, so as not to compromise the safety of the participants.
7.3. In the event of conditions deemed particularly adverse, unforeseeable circumstances, and causes of force majeure, the race may be canceled even without notice and in this case the registration fee paid will not be refunded.
7.4. The race can be interrupted at any time by the organization if deemed necessary for the safety of the participants or if objective risks, adverse weather conditions, unforeseeable circumstances or force majeure occur.
7.5. In case of interruption, the registration fee will not be refunded, moreover the competitors still on the route must be recognized by the employees on the route and follow their instructions to return to the starting / arrival area in Palafavera.

8. Safety and medical assistance
8.1. The emergency posts are intended to provide assistance to all people in danger with the organization’s means or through affiliated bodies.
8.2. Official doctors are authorized to suspend competitors deemed unsuitable to continue the race.
8.3. Rescuers are empowered to evacuate runners judged to be in danger with all their means.
8.4. In case of necessity, for reasons that are in the interest of the rescued person, only and exclusively in the judgment of the organization, the official mountain rescue will be called, who will take over in the direction of the operations and will put in place all the appropriate means, including the helicopter. Any costs arising from the use of these vehicles will be borne by the rescued person according to current regulations.
8.5. A runner who appeals to a doctor or rescuer actually submits to his authority and undertakes to respect his decisions.

9. Hourly gates
9.1. Deadlines are set for the passage of competitors in the following points of the route:
– Rifugio Venezia 2h 15min from departure
– Forcella Val d’Arcia. 3h 15min from departure
– Passo Staulanza. 4h 45min from departure
– Closing of arrival 5h 30min from departure
After these times, the organization does not guarantee assistance at the above points
9.2. Competitors who have not yet passed within the times described will be deemed excluded from the race, must be recognized by the attendants on the route, remove the bib number and return independently to the start / finish area in Pécol, retracing the race route backwards, as it is the easiest.

10. Leave and return
10.1. In case of abandonment of the race along the route, the competitor is obliged, as soon as he has the opportunity, to go to the nearest checkpoint or refreshment point, communicate his abandonment by registering and removing the bib.
10.2. In the event of failure to communicate the withdrawal and the consequent start of the athlete’s research, any resulting expenses will be charged to the athlete himself.

11. Rights to the image
11.1. Each competitor expressly renounces to make use of the rights to the image during the test, he also renounces any appeal against the organization and its authorized partners, for the use made of his image. Pursuant to law 196/03, personal data will only be used to form the list of participants, the ranking, the services declared on the website, the historical archive and for sending the Transpelmo information material.

12. Registration, replacements and refunds
12.1. Registration will take place as described on the website: www.transpelmo.com.
12.2. Registrations will also be closed early on reaching the predetermined number of members.
12.3. The registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
12.4. The reimbursement of the registration fee is also excluded in case of cancellation or cancellation of the event.
12.5. In case of non-participation, for any reason, of the duly registered competitor, no refund of the registration fee will be made, except for the right to the race pack which can be collected according to the rules established by the organization and communicated on the website www.transpelmo.com.
12.6 The change of the name linked to the bib can be made until 15 August 2024, at a cost of € 5.00 It must be done with the following procedure:
1- Enter the personal area using the link received in the registration confirmation email.
2- Follow the procedure indicated by filling in the required data

13. Special conditions only by pandemic situation covid19 or similar
13.1 The following rules of article 13 may undergo variations, even without notice, in relation to the epidemiological situation relating to COVID-19
13.2 Transpelmo  will take place in compliance with the Anti-Covid protocols and guidelines in force at the event.
13.3 Each athlete will be asked to sign and comply with the Anti-Covid rules that are imposed for the race day.

13.4 In case of cancellation or cancellation of the event only for reasons attributable to the pandemic situation from COVID-19, the following procedure will be carried out. Athletes regularly enrolled in the current edition will be reimbursed 50% of the basic fee paid if the cancellation takes place until 15 August, there will be no refund if the cancellation occurs from 16 august onwards.
For all other cases relating to refunds and cancellations, refer to art. 12 of this regulation
13.5 Additional mandatory material

At the moment there is no mandatory material in relation to COVID-19. For other mandatory material, refer to art. 1.7 of this regulation

13.6 Refreshments and semi-self-sufficiency
You run in semi-self-sufficiency.
13.7 Changing rooms, showers, and bag storage; will be available if the COVID-19 situation allows it
13.8 The final modalities of Start of the race, finish, transit at the refreshment points, and in general the behaviors dictated by the anti-covid 19 rules to be scrupulously followed by those registered on the day of the race, will be communicated in detail in the weeks close to the competition.

14. Final warnings
14.1. Failure to comply with the aforementioned rules leads to disqualification from the race and to any penalties provided for by current regulations.
14.2. The Organization reserves the right to modify these regulations at any time and without notice in order to guarantee a better organization of the race; the version of the regulation in force will be available and downloadable from the website www.transpelmo.com at any time.

15. Acceptance of the regulation
15.1. By registering with Transpelmo the competitor declares to have read and understood the aforementioned regulation and to accept without reservation the conditions set.
