Val di Zoldo (Belluno), 23 March 2020 – Transpelmo 2020 postpones the opening of registration. The trailrunning event in the Dolomites of Val di Zoldo (Belluno), which runs around one of the most fascinating peaks, namely Monte Pelmo, had scheduled the opening of the adhesions to edition number 13 for April 6th , edition scheduled for Sunday 6 September. In consideration of the period of generalized difficulty due to the Covid 19 emergency, the organizing committee has however chosen to delay the opening for one month.
«We felt it was right to stop at this time when activities, in all areas, including sports, are suspended» underline Eris Costa and Andrea Cero, coordinators of the organizing committee. «The hope is that everything can be resolved in a short time and that in a short time we can return to normal. For the 2020 edition we have started to work for some time and we can say that everything is ready. At this moment we suspend the first step, that of the registration opening, postponing it for a month. Ready to start again, with more enthusiasm than before and with a grateful soul towards those who in these weeks of emergency are working to resolve it».
The Transpelmo will take place on the traditional route of 18 kilometers and 1300 meters of positive altitude difference, with start and finish in Palafavèra (biathlon center). The highest point of the route are the 2,476 meters of Forcella Val d’Arcia. As last year, the event is included in the Golden Trail National Series by Salomon circuit, a selection of 5 of the most iconic events nationwide.
